A secret American plan to deport immigrants to “unsafe” countries.. Libya is at the forefront

An American official revealed that the administration of former President Donald Trump was studying plans to deport irregular immigrants to countries outside their countries of origin, including Libya, in a move that sparked widespread controversy and complex legal possibilities.

Reuters quoted the source as saying that this plan, which has been working on for weeks, may come into effect at any moment, with the first flight towards Libya likely to take off today, Wednesday, noting that the arrangements may be subject to changes.

In the same context, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the US administration is in the process of negotiating with a number of countries, including El Salvador, to receive irregular immigrants from other countries, as part of a comprehensive review of immigration policies.

According to CNN, the talks included Libya and Rwanda specifically, to receive immigrants on American soil who have criminal records, which may open the door to new legal challenges.

This step comes despite a judicial decision issued last month by a federal court that temporarily prohibits the deportation of immigrants to third countries without notifying them and giving them the right to object, which puts the US administration facing potential legal challenges.
