My Press – Rabat |In a pivotal moment that will remain entrenched in the Moroccan parliamentary archives, the Prime Minister, Ms.Fatima Al Zahraa Al MansouriA decisive, historic response in which attempts to exploit religion and the call to prayer in narrow political bidding within the House of Representatives were dropped, while at the same time defending the dignity of Moroccan women and divorced mothers.
“Islam was left to us by our ancestors, and the Justice and Development Party did not bring it!”
The Prime Minister’s response came after the representatives of the Justice and Development Team attempted to outbid the Chairman of the session and the Chairman of the Authenticity and Modernity Team regarding adjourning the session to perform prayers, as Al-Mansouri confronted them with strong words that shook the hall:
“What do we think about those who asked us about the person who is Muslim and the person who is not Muslim?! Islam was left to us by our ancestors.. Islam has not brought the Justice and Development Party!”
An impressive victory for the divorced woman: “I am a divorced woman and I have my children and I want them to have dignity!”
In her response to the insinuation and slander that targeted divorced women and Moroccan families, Mrs. Fatima Zahraa Al-Mansouri spoke with honesty and spontaneity that touched the hearts of Moroccans:
- Dignity of breadwinner mothers:She confirmed that thousands of divorced women go out every day to struggle and work honorably in order to raise their children and ensure their future.
- Brave personal message:Al Mansouri said with pride:“I am a divorced woman and I have my children. I want them to serve in their country, Morocco!”She added that her political project is not just a passing trend, but rather “reason, conscience, conviction, and struggle.”
- Dropping the guardianship of debt merchants:She stressed that “Tamaghribet”, which is based on moderation and the Emirate of the Faithful, unites all Moroccans and does not accept guardianship or monopoly of the religious sanctity.
