The dirham exchange rate increased by 0.6 percent against both the US dollar and the euro.

The Moroccan dirham recorded an increase of 0.6 percent against both the US dollar and the euro, during the period from 11 to 17 September 2025, according to what the Bank of Morocco reported in its latest financial market data.

This rise comes at a time when the Casablanca Stock Exchange witnessed a decline in its main indices, amid strong and active transactions, which reflects a variation in the performance of the Moroccan financial market during this period. Regarding the interventions of the Bank of Morocco in the money market, the average daily pumping amounted to 136.8 billion dirhams, distributed between 7-day advances (59.9 billion dirhams), long-term repurchase operations (40.9 billion dirhams), and loans. Guaranteed (36.1 billion dirhams). Regarding the interbank market, the average daily trading volume rose to 5.6 billion dirhams, while the interbank rate reached 2.25 percent.
