Marrakesh –During the eighth session of the Marrakesh Air Show, held from October 7 to 10, the People’s Republic of China will showcase a group of its aviation and defense industry products, in a presence that reflects the growing involvement of Chinese companies in the global aviation and defense market, along with major international companies participating in this event held at the Royal Air Forces Base in Marrakesh.
The pavilion of the China National Aerospace Technology Import and Export Company (CATIC) is highlighted within the Chinese participation in the exhibition, as the company displays models and models related to a group of Chinese aircraft and air systems, within the framework of an exhibition that brings together nearly 200 exhibitors from 27 countries, and allocates an important space to advanced defense, aviation and space technologies.
Among the most prominent aircraft whose model is present at the Chinese pavilion is the J-10CE multi-role fighter, which belongs to the Chinese J-10 family of fighters, along with the L-15 light training and combat aircraft, reflecting the diversity of products provided by the Chinese air industry between fighters and platforms designated for training and combat missions.
The Chinese participation also includes models of transport and support aircraft, including the Y-20 and Y-9E, in addition to the Z-10ME attack helicopter, which represents one of the Chinese platforms designated for ground combat missions.
Participation is not limited to manned aircraft, as the drone sector is strongly present among the Chinese exhibits, with models from the Wing Loong family designated for multiple tasks, including reconnaissance, surveillance, identifying targets, and carrying out long-range air missions.
This diversity reflects Beijing’s tendency to provide an integrated system of aviation products, including combat and training aircraft, transport aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aircraft, at a time when international aviation and defense exhibitions have become major platforms for introducing industrial and technological capabilities and concluding partnerships and deals.
The Chinese participation in the eighth edition of the Marrakesh Air Show comes within a wide international presence, as the event brings together companies and institutions from the civil, military and space sectors, with a special focus during the 2026 session on industrial sovereignty, advanced defense systems, artificial intelligence and space technologies.
The exhibition, which is hosted by Morocco from October 7 to 10, gives international companies the opportunity to communicate with official, military and industrial delegations. It also constitutes a platform for strengthening partnerships, investments and technology transfer within the aviation and defense system, in light of the expansion of Morocco’s industrial presence in this sector.
