Foreign currencies in the Libyan market are witnessing an increasing increase, at the level of the official market and the parallel market, where a difference of 1.71 dinars has been recorded, according to a study of the latest Central Bank bulletin and data circulated on pages interested in currency rates in the parallel market.
Through data from the Central Bank, it was found that the average price of the US dollar reached about 5.41 during Thursday, July 10, in addition to 81 piasters, the value of the required fee on foreign exchange sales of 15%, which made the value of one dollar amount to 6.22 dinars.
It is noteworthy that 7.83 dinars is the price of the dollar in the parallel market on Thursday at closing.
The Bank of Libya also announced the issuance of an official decision, including Resolution No. (18) of 2025, regarding reducing the exchange rate of the Libyan dinar against foreign currencies by 13%. According to the decision, the value of the Libyan dinar was adjusted to 0.1349 special drawing units for each dinar, after it was about 0.1349.
