“A devastating blow to the poison mafia in Oulad Afraj!” How did the Royal Gendarmerie dismantle the largest secret drug factory and seize tons of alcohol!

Afraj’s childrenOn the evening of Wednesday, August 26, members of the Royal Gendarmerie Center in Oulad Afraj, affiliated with the Regional Command in El Jadida, were able to dismantle a secret factory dedicated to the distillation and preparation of “Al Mahia” water of life liqueur, in a house in the Sabro roundabout of the Shuaibat community in El Jadida province.

The operation came, according to a security source, after exploiting confidential information and accurate intelligence data about suspicious activity inside the house. The raid and search operation resulted in the arrest of the main suspect and the seizure of 150 liters of “Al-Mahia” ready to be sold, in addition to 140 liters of fermented fig juice prepared for distillation.

Gendarmerie officers also seized equipment used in the manufacturing process, including gas bottles, pressure cookers, and copper pipes.

According to instructions from the competent Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in El Jadida, the seized quantities of intoxicants and fermented materials were destroyed, while the detainee was placed under theoretical custody, awaiting in-depth research to uncover the circumstances and context of the case and identify any potential partners or suppliers of the raw materials.
