صحافة بلادي — Rabat –During a meeting held in the capital, Rabat, on October 17, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, discussed with the Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Eng. Gassim Khalifa Haftar, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange experiences in the fields of reconstruction, urban development, and infrastructure modernization, in a way that supports development projects and reconstruction plans in Libya.
The Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund explained that the discussions addressed the prospects for establishing strategic cooperation between the two sides, based on exchanging technical and institutional expertise and benefiting from the Moroccan experience in investment and development, in addition to enhancing joint coordination to support development programs in the two countries.
The Moroccan experience is at the heart of the discussions
The discussions included examining opportunities to mutually benefit from experiences and expertise in the fields of development and infrastructure development, in the context of efforts aimed at supporting the reconstruction projects taking place in Libya, and developing mechanisms for technical and institutional cooperation with Morocco.
The importance of these areas is highlighted given the link between reconstruction and the rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure, the development of the urban space, and the strengthening of the institutional capabilities necessary to implement development projects.
Congratulations on the renewal of royal confidence
According to what was reported by the Libyan newspaper Al-Anbaa, Al-Balqasim congratulated Khalifa Haftar Nasser Bourita on the occasion of renewing the royal confidence in him, expressing his wishes for him success in his duties, and for the Kingdom of Morocco further progress and prosperity.
The meeting comes in the context of discussing opportunities to expand Moroccan-Libyan cooperation in development fields, with a focus on exchanging experiences and benefiting from the Moroccan experience in investment and infrastructure development.
