صحافة بلادي — The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) announced the continuation of its deliberations on the appeal filed by the Senegalese Football Federation against the Confederation of African Football and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, against the backdrop of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, stressing that the final decision will not be issued before the end of November 2026.
The court explained, in a statement issued on Monday, that the hearing in the case was held on October 8 at its headquarters in the Swiss city of Lausanne, behind closed doors, before the arbitral tribunal moved to the deliberations stage.
She added that the arbitrators decided to issue a detailed ruling that includes the legal grounds and reasons for the decision, which requires additional weeks to complete the study of the file, with the expected ruling to be issued at the end of next November.
TASS confirmed that any official developments regarding the case will be published through its official channels and website, pending the end of deliberations and the announcement of the final decision.
This arbitration process comes after the Senegalese Football Federation appealed the decision related to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, which ended with the approval of the Moroccan national team’s victory with a score of 3-0, according to the data contained in the file, against the backdrop of the events that took place in the match and the departure of the Senegalese national team players from the field.
