Ali Abusta, a member of the Supreme Council of State in Libya, stated the initiative to unify the council launched by a number of members of the council, indicating that it is a step that should have come at an early date after the council was affected by the political and international environment.
Abusta added, “The initiative is an attempt launched by some colleagues within, to strengthen the ranks of the Supreme Council of State and present viewpoints, although it came late,” referring to the Supreme Court’s ruling and the complex political updates that resulted from it.
The spokesman stressed that the citizen is the one who pays the price and is the biggest loser in this battle as a result of the ongoing political conflict, whether at the local or international level, especially in light of division and the absence of national cooperation.
