In light of this expansion in imports, the Algerian government tookProceduresTo adjust the import bill with the aim of preserving hard currency reserves, it included requiring institutions that import production supplies or work equipment to submit forecast programs for imports and obtain a prior license to import services, as part of its drive to reduce dependence on foreign markets and enhance national production.
