About Rachid Hamouni, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Family, Social Development and Equality, in charge of Social Inclusion

صحافة بلادي — Morocco –Rachid Hamouni was born in the city of Mysore, in the Pullman region, and progressed through political and parliamentary work before being appointed, on Friday, October 16, by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as Minister Delegate to the Minister of Family, Social Development and Equality, in charge of social inclusion.

Hamouni has university training in physics and chemistry, and has accumulated experience in managing local affairs and legislative and oversight work, as he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives in 2011, and since 2021 he has headed the parliamentary team of the Progress and Socialism Party in the first chamber of Parliament.

During his parliamentary career, he participated in a number of exploratory missions, and assumed responsibilities related to parliamentary oversight, within the framework of following up on public policies and discussing issues raised within the legislative institution.

Before arriving in Parliament, Hamouni served as a group advisor in the Mysore community during the period between 2003 and 2009, an experience that was linked to managing local affairs in the region from which he comes.

His appointment in the new government comes to assume responsibility related to social inclusion files, including issues related to vulnerable groups and the development of social coping mechanisms, in accordance with the specific competencies of the sector.

On a personal level, Rashid Hamouni is married and the father of three children.

His transition from parliamentary work to governmental responsibility represents a new station in his political path, while the outcome of his new tasks will be determined by the procedures and programs that he will contribute to implementing and the extent of their impact on the target groups.
