Bamako –Under high instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Mohammed VI Vocational Training Complex was handed over to the financial authorities, in a new initiative that reflects the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to supporting human development and enhancing cooperation with African countries.
The complex, which was completed by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sustainable Development in the financial capital, Bamako, extends over a covered area of 5,200 square metres, and aims to provide vocational training that responds to the requirements of the labor market, with a focus on acquiring applied skills, and combining theoretical training with field training, which contributes to facilitating the integration of young people into the labor market.
It is expected that the complex will receive about 1,000 trainees annually, through 21 training divisions, including 12 divisions in the construction and public works professions and 9 divisions in the hotel, tourism, and catering fields.
During his visit to the complex, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita, confirmed that this royal initiative falls within the framework of the special care given by His Majesty the King to Malian and African youth, and embodies the Kingdom’s vision of consolidating African cooperation based on solidarity, sharing experiences, and strengthening local capabilities, in a way that serves sustainable development on the continent.
For their part, the Malian authorities welcomed this initiative, as the Minister of National Enterprise, Employment and Vocational Training, Oumou Sall Seck, expressed the gratitude of the interim President of the Republic of Mali, General Assimi Goita, to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, considering that the project reflects the depth of historical relations and bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries.
The financial official confirmed that the complex will contribute to qualifying national competencies and developing human capital, especially in vital sectors related to economic and social development, in a way that supports Mali’s efforts to train young people and prepare them for the labor market.
