On Friday in Beijing, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, signed a memorandum of understanding under which a mechanism for strategic dialogue will be established between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The establishment of this institutional mechanism will constitute a new structure within the path of strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and strategic partners, and will enable the consolidation of historical ties between Rabat and Beijing. The importance of this text also lies in its goal of restructuring a high-level dialogue between Rabat and Beijing, based on trust, understanding and mutual respect. It aims to enhance coordination and communication between the diplomacy of the two countries on issues of common interest at all levels.
