Libyan international discussions on advancing the political track and overcoming electoral differences

During the meeting held yesterday, the two parties exchanged views on ways to end the state of division and enhance stability, through an inclusive political path that responds to the aspirations of the Libyans and establishes a stable institutional stage.

The discussions also touched on mechanisms for resolving the existing dispute over completing the procedures related to the work of the High National Elections Commission, as it is a pivotal step in creating the appropriate conditions for organizing comprehensive elections that will end the political division and reunify the institutions.

This meeting comes within the framework of continuing international efforts to support dialogue between the Libyan parties and provide a consensus platform that leads to a sustainable political solution that puts the country on the path of stability and building legitimacy through the ballot boxes.
