My Press – Rabat:The House of Representatives lived a heated constitutional session, chaired by Speaker Ahmed Al-Tawizi, which culminated in the new government led by Fatima Al-Zahraa Al-Mansouri obtaining the confidence of Parliament with a comfortable majority of 204 votes, after a lengthy intervention by the Prime Minister in which she put dots on the integrity of the elections, the scenes behind the formation of the majority, and the major files that the Moroccans had access to.

Why is participation in the elections at 38%… and the message of the first woman to head the government in the history of Morocco

Prime Minister Fatima Zahraa Al-Mansouri began her speech before the representatives by congratulating King Mohammed VI and the national football team, before directly entering the debate on the legislative elections. They confirmed that the voting process took place in 24,000 offices under the supervision of the judiciary and with complete integrity, and called on the entire parties to engage in frank self-criticism in order to know why a large segment of Moroccans were reluctant to vote while the participation rate remained at 38%, expressing her pride in her royal trust as the first Moroccan woman to become prime minister.

Al-Mansouri revealed the secrets of the government’s consultations to the public: All the parties were ready to enter, except for Al-Bigidi and the left!

In one of the most powerful clips of the session, Fatima Zahraa Al-Mansouri revealed the names behind the scenes of the communications that took place to form a government majority with the party leaders in the case of Amhand Al-Anaser, Mohamed Ouzine, Mohamed Godard, and Nabil Benabdallah, and clearly confirmed that all parties are examples of their readiness to enter the government, with the exception of the Justice and Development Party and the Federation of the Left, but they chose to adopt a harmonious majority in terms of programs and ideas, nothing other than a majority of numbers and seats.

What will be changed in the Family Code and building permits in Arabism and the fight against corruption and illicit enrichment?

The Prime Minister detailed in front of the parliamentarians the social and legal tasks that the new government will work on, most notably reviewing the Family Code, issuing a law criminalizing illicit enrichment and conflicts of interest to fight corruption, in addition to simplifying the complex procedures for reconstruction and building permits in the rural world and mountainous areas, and accelerating the implementation of advanced regionalization within two years.

A headache was emerging in the hall, and Al-Mansouri stopped speaking out of respect for the Maghrib call to prayer: Islam has left it for us, our ancestors!

When some opposition representatives tried to boycott her speech amid strict interference from Speaker of Parliament Ahmed Al-Tawizi, Al-Mansouri responded forcefully to the accusations of corruption and treason and affirmed that the Moroccan judiciary is independent and applies the law to everyone without exception. She raised the call to prayer for the Maghrib prayer and paused for her speech with reverence and clearly said that even a party does not have the right to outbid the Moroccans in Islam, which they inherited from their ancestors.

The historic moment of decisiveness.. Ahmed Al-Twizi announced granting confidence to the Mansouri government with 204 votes against 127 opposition votes

At the conclusion of this marathon session, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Tawizi, presented the government program to a public vote in implementation of Article 88 of the Constitution, and the final calculation of the votes resulted in 204 MPs voting in favor of the government, compared to 127 who voted “no” out of 331 parliamentarians who attended the session, without even a single MP abstaining, so the Mansouri government will officially begin its tasks.
