Free vocational training in Madrid to operate construction machinery and small loaders for job seekers

The Vocational Training System of the Madrid Region announced the opening of registration for a free, in-person training course extending to300 hoursDedicated to learning how to drive and operate construction machinery of the Minicargadora type, at the Training Center for Construction and Civil Works (CMICE) in the municipality of Paracuellos de Jarama.

Target groups and admission conditions

This training program primarily targets job seekers residing in the Madrid region and registered in public employment offices, with the possibility of accepting active workers wishing to develop their professional competencies in the construction and public works sector. Each training group consists of 14 trainees to ensure the quality of applied framing.

Eight applied units in driving and maintaining machinery The approved training program for the period 2026–2028 is divided into eight practical units, including:

Procedures for pre-examination and preparation of the machine and respect for occupational safety standards in the workshops.

• Driving and maneuvering techniques within construction and civil works sites.
• Operate backhoe and pneumatic hammer drilling equipment (Martillo neumático).
• Use a pallet fork (Horquilla portapalet), robot vacuum, and pressure roller.
• Initial preventive maintenance operations for the mechanism and its equipment.
• How to register and communicate with the center
