Fez, Monday, December 22, 2025 – The Digital Content Observatory, in coordination with a wide network of partners, announces the official launch of the “Prepare to Lead” citizenship initiative, as an ambitious civil project aimed at enhancing civilized behavior in the Fez-Meknes region, and keeping pace with the major development dynamism that the Kingdom is witnessing in preparation for hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
This initiative comes from a deep awareness that the success of continental and global demonstrations is not limited only to the readiness of infrastructure and stadiums, but is mainly based on the “value and behavioral readiness” of citizens, as they are the first image that is imprinted in the visitor’s mind.
Multipolar strategic alliance:
To ensure the optimal implementation of its objectives, the “Prepare to Lead” initiative has succeeded in building a strong institutional and civil bloc that brings together:
- Media Pole: With the participation of leading media platforms (Fez News, Raseef 24, Sahafa Beladi, and Morocco Pulse) to ensure that the awareness message is delivered to every home in the region.
- Professional pole: With the strong involvement of the Moroccan Association of Road Transport Professionals, believing in the pivotal role of the professional driver as an interface for the city of Fez and the region.
- Academic and Technical Pole: With support from the International School of Technology, to improve the mechanisms of sensitizing discourse.
- The youth, educational, cultural and artistic pole: with the participation of the Ruqy Foundation for Art, Culture and Peace (Media Club), to consolidate the values of citizenship among young people through the arts and creativity.
Objectives and areas of intervention:
The initiative, which takes the city of Fez as its starting point and spreads throughout the territory of the Fez-Meknes region, will operate according to a continuous work program covering the period preceding and accompanying the continental football festival, focusing on the following axes: - Road culture: Establishing mutual respect between drivers and pedestrians, and strict adherence to the traffic law, especially respect for pedestrian lanes.
- The aesthetics of public space: promoting positive behaviors related to cleanliness and preserving the urban environment.
- Reception values: Reviving and highlighting the values of authentic Moroccan hospitality and good dealing with visitors and tourists.
The initiative’s administration calls on all living and resident forces to participate in these open citizenship workshops, to make the Fez-Meknes region a leading model in “civil advancement”, and to assure the world that we well deserve the lead.
