Tripoli –TrendingNational unity government in Libya, headed by Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, to conduct a limited cabinet reshuffle aimed at improving the performance of some government sectors and addressing a number of imbalances within the current formation, in the context of efforts to rearrange executive work during the transitional phase.
According to available data, the expected amendment will include about 12 portfolios and ministerial positions, while maintaining the stability of the basic sovereign ministries, as the change will not include pivotal ministries such as Defense, Interior, Oil and Gas, in addition to the Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Planning, in a step that reflects a trend towards partial reform without affecting the main decision centers within the government.
Informed sources indicate that a number of the portfolios included in the amendment are currently being managed with temporary assignments or in a semi-vacant position, which prompted the government to reorganize them within the new formation with the aim of enhancing administrative effectiveness and ensuring the continuity of government work.
In parallel, the Prime Minister is working to create political conditions to hold a session for a number ofmembers House of RepresentativesIn the capital, Tripoli, with the aim of enabling the new ministers to take the constitutional oath in the presence of officials of the relevant institutions, in an effort to speed up the completion of the legal procedures related to the government amendment.
