A Frenchman of Algerian origins was arrested at Mohammed V Airport. He is internationally wanted in money laundering cases

Morocco –The security services at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca were able to arrest a French citizen of Algerian origins, who was the subject of an international search warrant issued by the French judicial authorities.

According to a report issued by the General Directorate of National Security, the person concerned was being sought at the international level under a red notice issued by Interpol, on suspicion of his involvement in a criminal network active in money laundering linked to fraudulent operations.

The report explained that the arrest operation took place within the framework of international security cooperation and the exchange of information between Moroccan security services and their foreign counterparts, with the aim of tracking down persons wanted internationally in cases of cross-border organized crime.

The suspect was subjected to the applicable legal procedures, awaiting the completion of the extradition procedure in accordance with the applicable laws and international judicial coordination.

This operation is part of the continuing efforts made by Moroccan security services in the field of combating organized crime and enhancing international security cooperation.
