Morocco and France extend an official invitation to Mauritania to participate in an international conference on peace

Mauritania –Mauritania has received an official invitation to participate in an international conference on peace and international cooperation, which is expected to be organized at a joint initiative between Morocco and France, in a step that reflects the growing diplomatic coordination between the three countries on issues of regional stability and multilateral cooperation.

According to available data, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, received this invitation during his reception in the capital, Nouakchott, of the Moroccan Ambassador, Hamid Chabar, and the French Ambassador, Emmanuel Besnier.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on bilateral cooperation relations between Mauritania and Morocco and France, in addition to discussing ways to develop partnerships in a number of areas of common interest, including the economy, security, education and cultural cooperation.

The two sides also discussed the importance of strengthening diplomatic coordination and regional cooperation in facing common challenges, in addition to supporting dialogue and stability initiatives in the Sahel and North Africa.

This diplomatic move comes in the context of the continuing dynamism that characterizes Moroccan-Mauritanian relations, in parallel with the strengthening of cooperation between Rabat and Paris in a number of regional and international files.

It is expected that the upcoming international conference will constitute a platform for dialogue and exchange of visions on issues of peace, cooperation and development, in light of the transformations taking place in the region and the challenges related to security and stability.
