The Bank of Morocco issues a commemorative coin of 250 dirhams on the occasion of Throne Day

Rabat –AnnounceBank of MoroccoIssuing a commemorative coinSilver denomination of 250 dirhams, in memory ofThe twenty-seventh anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne of his glorious predecessors, in an edition that combines national symbolism and artistic precision.

The bank explained, in an official statement, that the front side of the piece bears a picture of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with the words “Mohamed VI” and“The Kingdom of Morocco – ⵜⴰⴳⵍⴷⵉⵜ ⵏ ⵍⵎⵖⵔⵉⴱ”In the Arabic and Amazigh languages, in Tifinagh letters, in addition to the year of publication according to the Hijri and Gregorian calendars 1448-2026.

The back side of the piece includes the Kingdom’s emblem in the center, surrounded by a festive design that includes fiery meteors in the shape of stars and the number 27, referring to the number of years His Majesty the King ascended the throne.

The phraseis also engraved at the top of the back side “The twenty-seventh anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne”While its translation in French is mentioned below:“27 days of notification of the S.M. ROI MOHAMMED VI”In addition to the nominal value of the piece, 250 dirhams, written in numbers and letters.

According to Bank Al-Maghrib, the piece was made of an alloy consisting of 925 per thousand silver and 75 per thousand copper, and its weight is 28.28 grams, while its diameter is 38.61 millimeters, making it a commemorative issue documenting one of the most prominent national occasions in the Kingdom.
