Riyadh –The Mauritanian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al-Mukhtar Ould Dahi, held discussions with the Secretary-General of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Musallam, on ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, in the presence of the embassy’s advisor, Khadija Bint Al-Hussein.
The ambassador explained, in a blog post published on his Facebook account, that the meeting was an opportunity to review the most prominent investment opportunities provided by Mauritania in the sectors of agriculture, minerals, and fishing, in addition to discussing mechanisms for introducing them to Saudi investors and encouraging them to benefit from the privileges offered by the Mauritanian Investment Code.
He added that the two sides also discussed legal guarantees and incentives allocated to foreign investors, which would contribute to attracting more Saudi investments and strengthening the economic partnership between the two countries.
The discussions also touched on preparations for the second session of the Mauritanian and Saudi Businessmen Forum, which is expected to be organized during the last quarter of this year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the aim of expanding the horizons of trade and investment cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Mauritanian ambassador expressed his thanks to the Secretary-General of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and his staff, praising the warm reception and the level of discussions that took place between the two parties.
