Morocco –Under the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, today, Thursday, at the Royal College of Higher Military Studies in Kenitra, the graduation ceremony of the 26th Regiment of the High Defense Corps and the 60th Regiment of the Staff Corps.
According to a statement from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, the Crown Prince was greeted upon his arrival by the General Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Region, and the Brigadier General, Director of the College, before His Highness reviewed a formation of the Royal Air Forces that saluted. His Highness also received Lieutenant General Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, senior officers from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, the governor of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, the governor of the Kenitra province, the delegated commander of the military garrison, and faculty members of the college.
The ceremony included a presentation on “The contribution of the Royal Armed Forces to peacekeeping operations and humanitarian assistance at the international level,” followed by the handing over of certificates of higher military education with a master’s degree specializing in national defense, and staff diplomas to Moroccan and foreign trainee officers in the two corps.
The Crown Prince also reviewed the outcome of the work and research completed by the trainees during the academic year, before taking souvenir photos with the two graduating groups, the foreign trainees, and the teaching staff.
The 26th Regiment of the High Defense Corps and the 60th Regiment of the Staff Corps include 304 graduates, including 88 officers from 32 countries, which reflects the international dimension of the training provided by the Royal College of Postgraduate Military Studies.
