Morocco –Morocco Fes returned to the podium after an absence of 41 years, after clinching the title of the Moroccan professional football championship for the 2025-2026 season, following its victory over its guest, Olympique Dchira, with two goals to none, in the last round, which witnessed intense competition for the title until the final minutes.
https://twitter.com/elbotola/status/2073859394802999640The Fez team raised its score to 59 points, two points ahead of RS Berkane, which won outside its field against Difaa El Jadidi with a score of (3-1), while Raja Athletic finished the season in third place with 56 points after its victory over Olympique Safi with two unanswered goals.
The first half of the confrontation between Morocco Fes and Olympique Dcheira ended in a goalless draw, before the balance of the match changed after Dcheira player Yassine Boughaz was sent off in the last minutes of the first half, so the visitors completed the match with ten players.
Maghreb Fez took advantage of the numerical superiority at the beginning of the second half, as Anas Tahiri opened the scoring in the 51st minute after a pass from Adam Breka, before Ayman Chebani secured the victory with a second goal with a header following a free kick executed by Hamza Afsal.
This is the third coronation in the history of Morocco-Fez in the Moroccan League, and the first since the 1984-1985 season, bringing the team back one of the most prominent local titles to the city of Fez after more than four decades of waiting.
At the bottom of the standings, Olympique Dchira and Olympique Safi were confirmed to be relegated to the second division, while Ittihad Tawarka and Yacoub Al-Mansour will play Al-Sadd matches in order to maintain their place among the clubs in the first professional division.
The last round also witnessed FAR’s draw with RS Zamamra without goals, Fath Sportive’s loss to Yacoub El Mansour with a goal without a response, Hassania Agadir’s draw with Kawkab Marrakech (1-1), while Wydad Sportive Club lost at home to Ittihad Tawarka (2-1), and Ittihad Tangier’s victory over Club Meknassi by two goals to one.
