If several ministries witnessed a comprehensive change of faces during the handover ceremony, the behind-the-scenes sectors assigned to the Istiqlal Party ministers carried a different kind of surprise: stability in the names withHuge expansion of powers and competencies; It turnedRiad MazourTo an “extraordinary minister” who combines industry, trade, investment and economic integration (with the Minister Delegate in charge of Foreign TradeOmar Hujaira), while “Forests” were added to the Equipment and Water portfolio led by the Secretary-General of the partyNizar BarakaAnd he continuedAbdul Samad QayuhSupervising transportation and logistics workshops.
A forged Riad swallows the “investment” portfolio… Behind the scenes of the birth of the giant industrial pole!
Behind the scenes of handing over power in the industrial and investment sectors, the most prominent event was the attachment of the “Investment and Economic Inclusion” portfolio (which was previously held by Karim Zidane) to the Ministry of Riad Mazour. Which means unifying the manufacturing decision, internal and external trade, and bringing investments under one roof.
This compilation comes in implementation of what was stated in the Ministerial Council’s communication of the draft Finance Law 2027 regarding“Developing new sovereign industrial systems and focusing on supporting very small, small and medium enterprises”.
“Moroccans love the spontaneity of a fake Riad, so the talk is colloquial, but today with the addition of the investment portfolio to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, what is required is nothing but statements, but rather opening factories in all regions and reducing the trade deficit that has cost Morocco billions of dirhams!”
