It seems that “Al-Harik” still dominates the minds and hearts of many young Moroccans who dream of a better tomorrow on the other side, especially those from the villages and regions of the north, where hardly a family is devoid of immigrants among its members, which contributes permanently to awakening this desire among young people with the return of immigrants every summer.

However, with the tightening of surveillance on the traditional routes of clandestine migration via death boats from the northern coasts to the southern Spanish coasts, new migration paths towards Europe began to attract young Moroccans.

Local sources in the rural communities near the Grand Palace and the Arbaa al-Gharb market recorded remarkable activity in recent weeks by people specialized in organizing migration for the benefit of the people of the region, starting from Libya and reaching Italy before transporting them to Spain through an interconnected chain of displacement.
