Last Wednesday, the Secretary-General of the Popular Movement Party, Muhammad Ozin, received a delegation of leaders from Libyan political parties, as part of activating parallel party diplomacy.
The meeting was discussed, which was attended byMohanded element, Chairman of the Popular Movement Party, andMuhammad LahmouchMember of the political bureau of the party, with the delegation of the Libyan parties, headed by Mr.Naji BarakatAbout the coordination of parties, the bonds of historical, cultural and civilizational relations that link the two brotherly peoples, Moroccan and Libyan.
During the meeting, Morocco’s firm positions in support of the unity and sovereignty of Libya, and its aspiration for its stability and prosperity, were emphasized, and the qualitative efforts made by Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, in order to achieve this goal, were highlighted.
The meeting was also devoted to discussing prospects for enhancing cooperation between political parties and civil society in the two brotherly countries, in order to serve the unified Maghreb cause based on respect for the unity and sovereignty of the countries of the Union.
The delegation of the Libyan parties, in addition to Mr. Naji Barakat, included:
- Khaled Al-GhawilFor the Peace and Prosperity Party.
- Fathi Ben KhalifaAbout the Lipo party.
- Muhammad SaadFrom the Civil Democratic Party.
- Ali Al-TarhouniFrom the National Center Party.
- Fawzi Abdel-AlAbout the national movement.
The meeting was also attended by the Libyan side, the legal advisorKamal Hudhaifa.
