Rabat– newspaper confirmed“Sport”The Spanish newspaper said that the Mohammed VI Football Academy has become one of the most prominent engines of the development of Moroccan football, considering that the success of the “Atlas Lions” in reaching the qualifying rounds of the 2026 World Cup reflects the fruit of a long-term training project that has made Morocco among the rising powers in world football.
The newspaper explained, in a report entitled“Mohamed VI Academy…the nursery that leads the renaissance of Moroccan football”The prominent presence of academy graduates within the national team, including Ezzedine Ounahi, Ahmed Reda Al-Tajnaouti, and Nayef Akrad, embodies the success of the training model that Morocco has adopted over the past years.
She pointed out that the transformation that Moroccan football has witnessed since 2008 was based on a strategic vision that made training, structuring and professionalism the basis for building a football project capable of competing continentally and internationally.
She added that the Mohammed VI Academy, which was inaugurated in 2009, has become a training center in accordance with international standards, as it combines sports qualification, academic education, and keeping pace with young talents, while adopting a national network to discover promising players and select the best elements to benefit from elite training programs.
The newspaper confirmed that the academy has succeeded in exporting a large number of players to various European championships, as more than 20 of its graduates are active in the continent’s leagues, along with about 30 players in the clubs of the first division of the Moroccan professional championship.
The newspaper linked Morocco’s historic achievement in the Qatar 2022 World Cup to the results that the team continues to achieve in the 2026 World Cup, considering that these successes reflect the continuity of an integrated sports project based on investment in training.
