Princess Lalla Hasnaa celebrates pioneers of culture and arts in Azerbaijan during a ceremony in Baku

As part of her official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the City of Rabat, organized a special tea party, today, Thursday, in the capital, Baku, in honor of a number of prominent female figures in the fields of Azerbaijani culture and arts.

The ceremony was an opportunity to exchange visions and enhance cultural dialogue between Morocco and Azerbaijan, as Princess Lalla Hasnaa gathered for this meeting an elite group of influential women, including the theater and cinema artist Shafiqa Mammadova, the opera singer and mezzo-soprano artist Fidan Hajiyeva, along with Amina Melikova, Director of the National Carpet Museum, and Shirin Melikova, Director of the National Museum of Fine Arts.

The meeting was also attended by other elite women active in the cultural and artistic field, including journalist Nadezhda Ismayilova, visual artist Sabina Shikhlinskaya, and Asmar Babayeva, artistic director of the “Azer Khalilche” Foundation, which specializes in carpet art, along with Firuza Sultanzade, director of the Republican Center for Child and Youth Development, Gunil Rzayeva, director of the Book Center in Baku, and Gulnar Khalilova, director of the Fashion Center. National, Rina Mammadova from the Heydar Aliyev Center, and visual artist Narkiz Guliyeva.

The ceremony was also attended by Nezha Alaoui, Secretary General of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the City of Rabat, and Aisha Bukhari, wife of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Baku.

This meeting comes in the context of Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s interest in supporting issues of culture and the environment and promoting international cultural rapprochement. It also reflects the position of cultural diplomacy in consolidating cooperative relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan.
