The authority, affiliated with the Ministry of Equipment and Transport, confirmed that any bus that is not equipped with a speed limiter that conforms to the approved technical controls will not receiveThe travelers leaflet has arrivedIt is the document that authorizes her to leave stations and embark on trips between cities.
She explained, in an official statement, that the decision comes in implementation of government directives aimed at enhancing road safety and reducing traffic accidents related to excessive speed, in continuation of the measures announced in a previous communication datedJune 11, 2026.
The Road Transport Regulatory Authority stressed that the aim of this measure is to protect the lives and property of travelers, and to reduce accidents resulting from exceeding the legal speed, stressing that it will not be lax in implementing the decision.
The authority called on all transport companies and private transporters to immediately commit to installing speed limiters in accordance with the approved standards, in order to avoid disrupting their flights or preventing their buses from leaving the stations.
This decision comes in light of the escalation of traffic accidents on national roads in recent weeks, which has prompted the authorities to tighten oversight and adopt new measures to enhance traffic safety and reduce human losses.
