The Kingdom of Morocco continues to strengthen its significant presence and strong influence within continental and international sports decision-making centres, thanks to the effective dynamism led by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, headed by Faouzi Lakjaa, within both the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Council and the Executive Office of the African Confederation (CAF).
Strategic partnerships with dozens of African federations to develop infrastructure and training
The capital, Rabat, and the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maamoura hosted a series of international conferences and training courses for the benefit of referees, coaches and sports administrators from various countries of the African continent, in implementation of the joint cooperation agreements that bring Morocco together with more than 40 African football federations.
Moroccan sports facilities also enjoy absolute confidence from “FIFA” and “CAF” to host the largest continental and international events, starting with the CAF Awards and the Club World Cup, all the way to the finals of the African Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup.
International praise for the Moroccan model in sports governance and modernizing facilities
International officials at FIFA confirmed that the royal vision of investing in sports infrastructure and training has made Morocco a real engine for the development of football in Africa and the Mediterranean basin.
