The launch of the first bus trip via the international land line linking the Algerian city of Annaba to the capital, Tunisia, was officially announced on Friday morning, March 13, 2026, in a new step to enhance land connectivity between the two countries and facilitate the movement of travelers.
The start signal was given by the governor of Annaba State, in the presence of the Director General of the University Corporation for Transport and Services, where the trip started from the land station for transporting passengers, Mohamed Mounib Sundid, in Annaba, just one day after the launch of a similar bus line between Algiers andTunisiaDC.
The new line passes through a number of border cities and regions, including Ben M’hidi, Ain Al-Assal, Al-Tarf, Laayoune, Bouche, Ain Draham, Jendouba and Beja, before reaching the Tunisian capital.
According to the announced program, four flights per week will be organized one way from Annaba on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, compared to four flights back from Tunis on the same days.
The concerned authorities explained that reservations are made in advance either through the land station in Annaba or through the “My Station” application, with the requirement for travelers to have a valid passport.
The launch of this line comes within the framework of efforts to enhanceLand transportationInternational betweenAlgeriaAnd Tunisia, especially after the restart of the railway line between the two countries in 2024, which is expected to contribute to facilitating movement and stimulating tourism and exchange between the two countries.
