Start sectorTourismInTunisiaThe year 2026 has positive results, after achieving an increase in revenues during the first three months by 4.5 percent, reaching about 1.5 billion Tunisian dinars, or approximately 517 million dollars, according to what was revealed by recent data issued by the Central Bank of Tunisia.
This performance contributed to supporting the hard currency reserve, which amounted to about 24.5 billion Tunisian dinars ($8.3 billion), recording an improvement compared to the same period last year, which was around 23 billion dinars, which reflects a gradual improvement in balancesEconomy.
These indicators come after an exceptional year in 2025, in which Tunisia recorded tourism revenues amounting to about 2.9 billion dollars, with a record influx of more than 11 million visitors, an unprecedented number at the sector level.
This upward trend is linked, according to professional estimates, to the recovery of international demand for the Tunisian destination, in addition to the improvement of the tourist offer and the intensification of promotional campaigns, which strengthens the country’s position among the emerging Mediterranean destinations.
