On the occasion of National Blood Donation Day, which is commemorated on June 14 of each year, the Moroccan Agency for Blood and its Derivatives announced the launch of a national program for blood donation campaigns, extending to various regions of the Kingdom.
This program, as confirmed by an official statement from the agency, comes in partnership with civil society activities, with the aim of expanding the donor base and bringing donation services closer to male and female citizens in all regions.
The agency called on all male and female citizens, especially the youth, to voluntarily and regularly participate in this noble initiative, stressing the importance of establishing the culture of blood donation as a basic citizen value that contributes to saving lives and promoting the right to life.
The agency also called on civil society associations to keep pace with this national dynamism, through awareness-raising and mobilization, considering blood donation as a humanitarian act that reflects the spirit of solidarity and interdependence within Moroccan society.
The agency stressed that these campaigns constitute an opportunity to enhance national blood security and ensure regular supply of blood stocks to meet the needs of urgent cases, complex surgical operations, and treatment of a number of chronic diseases.
On this occasion, the Moroccan Agency for Blood and its derivatives expressed its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all donors, who constitute a living example of the values of humanitarian giving and collective responsibility.
