United States of America –The Ambassador of the United States of America to Morocco, Richard Duke Buchan, praised the performance presented by the Moroccan national team at the beginning of its participation in the 2026 World Cup, considering that the “Atlas Lions” had a strong start that reflects their ambition to compete during the tournament.
This praise came in a blog post published by the ambassador on the “X” platform, where he confirmed that the Moroccan national team’s first match was exciting, noting that this beginning “is only the first step” in the team’s path during the World Cup.
Bouchan also used the occasion to emphasize the strength of Moroccan-American relations, highlighting that the partnership between the two countries extends for more than 250 years, and continues to develop towards new horizons, especially in light of Morocco’s preparations to organize the 2030 World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.
This diplomatic interaction comes in the context of growing international interest in the Moroccan national team, which has become widely followed after its outstanding results in recent years on the continent and globally.
