The Moroccan authorities decided to impose a temporary electronic visa on citizens of eight countries, as part of the security and organizational arrangements in preparation for hosting the 2025 African Cup of Nations finals.
The decision includes Algeria and Tunisia, in addition to Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger and Togo, according to what local media reported.
This measure comes in the context of Morocco’s preparations to receive thousands of fans and delegations participating in the tournament, scheduled for the beginning of 2025, amid its keenness to ensure tight organization and effective security for the continental event.
