Freetown –Member States signedEconomic Community of West African States(CEDIAU), today, Sunday, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, the intergovernmental agreement framework for the development ofAfrica-Atlantic Gas Pipeline Project Nigeria-MoroccoIn a new step that enhances the implementation process of one of the largest energy infrastructure projects on the African continent.
The signing took place on the sidelines ofCediao Summit of Heads of State and GovernmentTo dedicate the official accession of the countries of the group to the strategic project launched byHis Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory,The late Nigerian PresidentMuhammadu BuhariNigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to support it, under the supervision of the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Minerals (ONHYM) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC Ltd).
This agreement represents a pivotal stage before moving on to the practical steps of the project, which includeEstablishment of the project company in Casablanca,And the establishment of the Supreme AuthorityFor the Abuja gas pipeline, in preparation for mobilizing investors and making the final investment decision.

The project is one of the most prominent strategic initiatives to enhance economic and energy integration in Africa, and it also reflects the growing regional cooperation in the field of major infrastructure.
