صحافة بلادي — MoroccoThe Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Rabat decided to pursue four people in a state of arrest, on the grounds of their participation in an unauthorized gathering that witnessed, according to a report from the Public Prosecution, violent acts of resistance that resulted in the injury of three members of the public force, which required their transfer to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
The Crown Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Rabat explained, in a communication issued on Thursday, October 15, 2026, that the gathering was organized on October 12, and about 40 people participated in it, including 14 women, noting that the incident witnessed a disturbance in traffic on the public road, in addition to obstructing the services provided to the commuters.
The communication added that the intervention of the public force came with the aim of dispersing the gathering, in accordance with the requirements of the law relating to public gatherings, after the participants were asked to end the gathering, but they refused to comply, according to the same source.
According to the Public Prosecution’s account, some participants faced an attempt to disperse the gathering with violent resistance, which resulted in the injury of three law enforcement officers, who were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary first aid and treatment.
As a result of these events, the Public Prosecution ordered the opening of a judicial investigation, which resulted in the arrest of seven people suspected of participating in the gathering. They were placed under theoretical custody as part of the investigation.
After presenting the detainees before the Public Prosecution and reviewing the results of the investigation, it was decided to follow up on four of them in a state of detention, on suspicion of their involvement in acts related to refusing to comply, participating in an unauthorized assembly, insulting public officials while carrying out their duties, and exercising violence against them, according to what was stated in the report.
The same source indicated that those concerned would be referred to the judiciary, stressing that the arrested persons benefited from the guarantees guaranteed by the law, especially the right to defense.
The incidents attributed to the followers remain the subject of judicial proceedings, while the aforementioned report did not include a final ruling regarding their criminal responsibility.
