Khaled Haftar discusses with the Chief of Staff of Morocco enhancing military cooperation on the sidelines of the Luanda Conference

Luanda –The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan National Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, discussed with the Inspector General of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and Chief of the General Staff of the Civil War, Lieutenant General Mohamed Bariz, ways to enhance military and security cooperation between Libya and Morocco, on the sidelines of the African Chiefs of Staff Conference held in the Angolan capital, Luanda.

The meeting came within the framework of bilateral consultations between the two sides, where Khaled Haftar stressed the importance of developing joint military cooperation and enhancing security coordination in a way that contributes to confronting regional challenges and supporting stability in the region.

The discussions also dealt with the historical relations between Libya and the Kingdom of Morocco, with an emphasis on the importance of expanding areas of military partnership between the two countries during the next stage.

In the context of his participation in the conference, Khaled Haftar held a separate meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, General Alteno Carlos Jose dos Santos, during which he praised the good organization of the African Chiefs of Staff Conference and the level of hosting provided by Angola.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities to develop military cooperation between Libya and Angola, especially in the areas of military training and exchange of experiences, in a way that serves common interests and enhances security and stability at the regional level.
