After a hiatus that lasted for years.. the Egyptian Embassy in Tripoli will resume its consular services starting July 12.

Today, Wednesday, the Egyptian Embassy in Libya announced the launch of the trial operation of consular services in the consular section in the capital, Tripoli, starting on Sunday, July 12, 2026, after a hiatus that lasted for several years due to the security conditions witnessed by Libya.

The embassy explained, in an official statement, that it will receive members of the Egyptian community and Libyan citizens at the headquarters of the new consular section located on Jaafar bin Abi Talib Street, branching off from Al-Jaraba Street, in the Ben Ashour neighborhood in Tripoli, starting from the specified date.

She confirmed that benefiting from consular services will be through the advance reservation system through the website designated for this purpose, within the framework of organizing the process of receiving visitors and facilitating the completion of their transactions.

The resumption of consular services is an important step to re-provide administrative services to Egyptians residing in Libya, as well as to Libyan citizens wishing to complete consular transactions, after years of cessation imposed by the security and political conditions that the country has experienced.
