On the morning of Monday, July 4, 2025, an armed car stormed the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth of the Abdul Hamid Dabaiba government, and forcibly expelled the employees, for the purpose of disrupting the local youth council meeting scheduled to be held today.
It is noteworthy that this escalation came after a demonstration organized by a number of young people yesterday, Sunday, in front of the ministry, during which they demanded the redisbursement of the allocations for their local councils, which had been withheld since 2024 by a decision of the financial controller, in a move that sparked widespread dissatisfaction within youth circles.
The Ministry of Youth has not given any official comment on the incident yet, while demands are increasing to open an immediate investigation to uncover those involved in this raid and determine its circumstances and the parties responsible for it, amid fears of escalating tension between this Sunni group and the official authorities.
