Tehran– The military escalation between the United States and Iran has entered a new phase, after it was announcedUS Central Command (CENTCOM)On Friday evening, a new wave of military strikes began against targets inside Iran, confirming that the operations aim to undermine the military capabilities used to threaten international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The American announcement coincided with Iranian reports of hearing explosions in a number of cities in the south of the country, includingBandar AbbasAndQeshm IslandIn Hormozgan Province, according to ISNA and Iranian television.

This escalation comes at a time when the military confrontation between Washington and Tehran continues, coinciding with diplomatic efforts to revive negotiations, in light of growing fears about the repercussions of the crisis on the security of navigation inStrait of Hormuzand stability of the region.
