Kyiv/Moscow –I witnessed the warRussian UkrainianToday, Monday, there was a new escalation, after Ukraine expanded its attacks on the Russian interior and the Crimean Peninsula, while Moscow announced the targeting of ships that it said were transporting military cargo to Ukraine in the Black Sea.
The Russian authorities announced that six people were killed and others were injured as a result of attacks by Ukrainian drones that targeted the Krasnodar region and the Crimean Peninsula. The governor of Krasnodar reported that three people were killed as a result of march debris falling on the village of Arkipo-Osipovka, while three other civilians were killed in Crimea, according to local authorities appointed by Moscow.
On the other hand, Ukrainian military intelligence announced the implementation of strikes targeting Russian radar systems in the Crimean Peninsula, confirming direct hits.
In a remarkable development, Ukrainian marches targeted a warehouse belonging to thecompany “Wildberries”, the largest e-commerce platform in Russia, in the Vladimir region, east of Moscow, which led to a fire breaking out and one person being injured, according to Russian authorities.
Wildberries is the largest e-commerce platform in Russia, and is sometimes known as“Russian Amazon”,Reports indicate that the company has been subjected in recent months to a series of attacks that affected part of its logistical capabilities.
On the other hand, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces bombed four ships that it said were carrying military cargo intended for Ukraine, three of which were in the Black Sea and the fourth was inside the port of Mykolaiv.
The Ministry also confirmed that Russian air defense systems intercepted 131 Ukrainian drones during the night over several Russian regions, in addition to the Crimean Peninsula and the waters of the Black Sea.
This escalation comes in light of the continuing confrontations between the two sides since the outbreak of war in February 2022, with the increasing use of drones in mutual attacks and targeting of infrastructure and logistical and military facilities.
