Throne Speech 2026.. King Mohammed VI: Security and stability enhance economic growth and financing development

RabatHis Majesty King Mohammed VI, in his Throne Speech on the occasion of the twenty-seventh anniversary of his accession to the throne, affirmed that security, stability and the efficiency of institutions have enabled Morocco to achieve positive economic indicators in various sectors, thus enhancing the path of economic ascension and strengthening national sovereignty.

His Majesty the King explained that the national economy recorded a growth rate of about4.9 percent during the year 2025With expectations of maintaining or exceeding the same pace during the year 2026, he pointed out that the good agricultural season and important rainfalls contributed to enhancing water and food security.

His Majesty added that Morocco has continued to consolidate its position as a pole for industrial, tourism and financial investment, as the automotive, aviation, renewable energy and food industries sectors have become among the most prominent pillars of the national economy, stressing that the Kingdom has becomeThe first automobile exporter in AfricaA production capacity of approximately one million cars annually, while exports from the automotive and aviation sectors exceeded40 percent of total exports.

His Majesty the King also highlighted that the launch of new factories in the field of aircraft engines and landing systems, in addition to the development of the electric battery industry and the initiation of green hydrogen projects, reflect Morocco’s ability to keep pace with global industrial and technological transformations and enhance its economic competitiveness.

On the social side, His Majesty praised the historic achievement achieved by the tourism sector in welcoming the Kingdom to20 million tourists during the year 2025He stressed the continuation of implementing human development programs and universalizing social protection, while emphasizing the necessity of generalizing integrated territorial development programs to various regions of the Kingdom.

His Majesty called for the mobilization of national financial resources to support major projects, calling on the financial sector to continue keeping pace with investment, and to expand access to bank and non-bank financing for the benefit of small and medium enterprises and innovation, manufacturing and export projects, in a way that ensures the mobilization of national savings and accelerates the development dynamism of the emerging Morocco.
