The Prime Minister of Libya resolves the issue of faltering education, health and infrastructure projects in the municipality of Al-Zawiya Al-Shamal

On Wednesday, the head of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, held a meeting devoted to tracking the situation of the Al-Zawiya Al-Shamal municipality, in the presence of the mayor and members of the municipal council, where the most prominent constraints and needs related to basic services and local development projects were reviewed.

The meeting’s activities focused on evaluating the progress of a number of planned projects in the fields of education, health, and infrastructure, in addition to identifying the difficulties that hinder the implementation of some projects, and examining ways to overcome them in a way that ensures their completion within the specified deadlines and improves the quality of services provided to citizens.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the need to mobilize various stakeholders to provide the required support, accelerate the pace of achievement, and ensure the continuity of vital facilities and services, while emphasizing the importance of tracking the implementation of development programs according to the approved timetables.

For his part, the Dean of the Zawiya Al-Shamal Municipal Council expressed the council’s readiness to provide the necessary facilities and enhance coordination with government sectors, in a way that contributes to the success of ongoing projects and raising the level of services for the benefit of the municipality’s residents.

This meeting comes within the framework of the government’s intention to intensify follow-up of the situation of municipalities and enhance their role in implementing development projects, as they are the closest link to citizens and responsible for managing basic local services.

The municipality of Al-Zawiya Al-Shamal is considered one of the areas with a dense population and increasing service activity. It has witnessed remarkable urban expansion in recent years, which has doubled the need to develop infrastructure and improve education and health services, which has prompted the government to continue keeping pace with projects and supporting municipal councils with the aim of achieving service stability and sustainable development.
