AThe head of the Spanish Tarragona Port Authority, Santiago José Castilla, stressed that the new port infrastructure, which His Majesty King Mohammed VI supervised inauguration on Thursday, within the framework of the program to restructure and develop the port complex of Casablanca, represents “strategic progress” for the global economy and international trade.
He also pointed out that the restructuring and development of the Casablanca port complex falls within the continuity of the “impressive” dynamism witnessed by the Tangier Med Port, which opens new horizons for cooperation with Spain and Europe. The Spanish official also considered that the emergence of a more solid port system in Morocco would contribute to supporting the economic development and growth of the Kingdom, as well as consolidating its experience and innovations within its regional environment.
