DohaThe Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister held a series of phone calls with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, the Saudi Foreign Minister, and the Jordanian Foreign Minister, to discuss developments in the regional situation and efforts aimed at reducing escalation and enhancing stability in the region.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the discussions dealt with ways to support diplomatic efforts aimed at containing tension, and stressed the importance of regional coordination to confront the current challenges.

During these contacts, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister stressed the need for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which contributes to maintaining the security and stability of the region.
Doha stressed that political solutions and dialogue remain the best way to avoid further escalation, enhance regional security and protect the common interests of the countries of the region.
