Morocco faces Haiti in a decisive match in the World Cup

On Wednesday evening, June 24, 2026, the Moroccan national team will play a decisive match against the Haiti national team in the third round of the group stage of the World Cup, in a confrontation that may officially determine the passage of the “Atlas Lions” to the knockout rounds.

The Moroccan team enters the match with a relative advantage in qualifying calculations, as a draw or even a loss is sufficient for it in scenarios linked to the result of the other match in the group between Brazil and Scotland, which gives it a margin of safety before this decisive confrontation.

The Moroccan national team presented a balanced performance in the previous two rounds, after drawing 1-1 against Brazil, before achieving a valuable victory over Scotland with an unanswered goal, scored by Ismail Saibari, who continued his offensive brilliance in the tournament.

On the other hand, the Haiti national team is playing the match without any chance of qualifying, after being officially eliminated from the competition, but it is concluding its first historic participation in the World Cup since the 1974 edition, after a remarkable appearance despite limited capabilities.

The match will be held at Atlanta Stadium, and will start at 23:00 Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia time, and 01:00 am Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar time.

Coach Mohamed Wehbe seeks to continue the positive results after his success with the youth team, while relying on young elements alongside key pillars, most notably Achraf Hakimi, against the Haiti national team, which relies on names such as Wilson Isidore and Jean-Rickner Bellegarde.
