Tripoli –Libya reduced the official selling price of crudeSidrDuring the month of July, it becomes less by30 cents per barrelof the price of standard Brent crude, at the lowest level recorded by this crude since June 2025, according to the latest list of Libyan crude oil export prices.
This amendment comes after Sidr crude was sold last June at a premium amounting to$1.3 per barrelAbove the price of Brent crude, which reflects a noticeable decline in its official price during the current month.
Sidr crude is considered one of the most prominent types of Libyan oil, and is classified among the finest crudes in the basket of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), thanks to its lightness and low sulfur content, which makes it in demand by global refineries for the production of fuel, especially diesel and gasoline.
On the other hand, Libya set the official selling price forSpark OreWhen50 cents per barrel above the price of Brent crudeDuring July, compared to an increase amounting to$1.5 per barrelDuring the month of June, this indicates a decline in the price premium for this crude as well.
The price adjustment comes at a time when the Libyan oil sector continues to maintain high production levels, with global markets monitoring developments in supply and demand in the energy market
