His Majesty King Mohammed VI chairs the loyalty ceremony at Mashour Square, the Royal Palace in Tetouan, on the occasion of Throne Day.

TetouanThe Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed, chaired, after noon today, Friday, in the Meshour Square of the Royal Palace in the city of Tetouan, the loyalty ceremony, on the occasion of the celebration of the twenty-seventh anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne of his blessed ancestors.

The ceremony began with the Minister of Interior, Abdel Wafi Laftit, accompanied by governors and workers of the states, prefectures and regions of the Kingdom, and governors and workers of the central administration of the Ministry of Interior, presenting the duties of loyalty and fidelity to the Commander of the Faithful.

After that, delegations and representatives of various regions, prefectures and regions of the Kingdom came forward to renew their allegiance and loyalty to His Majesty the King, in a scene that embodies the depth of the connection between the throne and the people, and reflects the continuity of this established national tradition.

The delegations included representatives of the twelve regions of the Kingdom, namely: Dakhla – Oued Eddahab, Laayoune – Sakia El Hamra, Guelmim – Oued Noun, Tangier – Tetouan – Al Hoceima, East, Fez – Meknes, Rabat – Salé – Kenitra, Beni Mellal – Khenifra, Casablanca – Settat, Marrakesh – Safi, Draa – Tafilalet, and Souss – Massa.

The loyalty ceremony concluded with five artillery shots being fired, while His Majesty the King responded with his greetings to the representatives of the various regions of the Kingdom who chanted slogans of loyalty and sincerity, in an atmosphere of national symbolism and celebration of the glorious Throne Day.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, the Speakers of the Two Houses of Parliament, advisors to His Majesty the King, members of the government, heads of constitutional bodies, and senior officers of the Supreme Command of the Royal Armed Forces, in addition to a number of civilian and military figures.
